Lisette is part of our Commercial team. She has a real interest in making a difference in healthcare by fixing efficiencies through employing her years of experience working in hospitals in the UK and Europe.
Lisette qualified as a registered nurse at the University of Health and Science in Amsterdam. She started her nursing career in the NHS in 2016, focusing on ENT, Plastics, MaxFax and Ophthalmology. In 2018 she chose to concentrate in Ophthalmology and completed a PGcert in Advanced Person Centred Ophthalmic Care at Northampton University. Since then she has been working on quality improvement projects that focus on implementing pathways that make the service more efficient for all service users. Taking on a leadership role as a Sister in the Oxford Eye Hospital in 2020 showed her the opportunities but also the challenges in the NHS. Whilst in Oxford she worked with Ufonia on her thesis focusing on the impact of autonomous telemedicine on post-cataract presentations in the Eye Emergency Department. This work resulted in the successful completion of an MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice in 2023 at Oxford Brookes University and led to an exciting new opportunity with Ufonia.
Lisette loves taking long walks with her little Yorkshire Terrier and is an assistant trainer for the U13 Girls teams at the Wantage Football club.
