Introduction

These Short Message program (SMS) Terms & Conditions govern the SMS communications provided by Ufonia Ltd, its affiliates, related entities, and partners (“Ufonia”). They establish the terms under which users receive SMS messages from Ufonia, including alerts, and notifications.
Program description: Ufonia offers a SMS program to help patients stay informed about their upcoming interaction with Ufonia’s automated clinical assistant, Dora. 

Acceptance of Terms

Agreement to Terms: By opting into Ufonia’s SMS program, users agree to these Terms & Conditions, which are in addition to Ufonia’s general Terms of program and Privacy Policy.
Changes to Terms: Ufonia reserves the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Continued use of the SMS program after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

Consent and Opt-In

Voluntary Participation: Participation in the SMS program is voluntary and requires expressed consent from the user.
Obtaining Consent: Consent will be obtained through your healthcare organization

Third-Party Data

Information from Third Parties: Ufonia may receive user information from third-party sources that users have previously consented to sharing their data. This information will not be used for marketing purposes in line with this policy.

Content and Frequency

Program description: When opted-in, Ufonia will send text messages (SMS/MMS) to your mobile number that may include a confirmation, a reminder, and/or another similar notification related to your appointment. These messages may be configured to include links to confirm or reschedule your appointment, and subsequent messages may vary by your replies to the initial message.
Frequency: Message frequency will vary depending on your appointment type. 

Opt-Out and Withdrawal from Consent

Opt-out: You can opt out of the SMS program at any time. Just reply back with “STOP”. After you send the SMS message ”STOP” to us, we will send you an SMS text to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS texts from us. If you want to join again, just sign up as you did the first time and we will start sending SMS texts to you again.

Fees and Charges

Standard Messaging Charges: Standard data and messaging rates may apply for any messages sent and received according to the user’s mobile carrier plan.
No Additional Fees: Ufonia does not charge additional fees when users send or receive SMS texts, but users are responsible for any charges imposed by their mobile carrier.

Data Privacy and Security

Commitment to Privacy: Ufonia is committed to protecting the privacy and security of users’ personal information as outlined in our privacy policy: ufonia.com/privacy
Use of Data: Information collected through the SMS program will be used in accordance with the Ufonia’s Privacy Policy and these Terms & Conditions.

Limitation of Liability

Interruption: Ufonia does not promise that the SMS program will be uninterrupted or error-free and is not liable for any delays, message failures, or other technical issues. Your mobile carrier is not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
